  • 1.  CRM Emails - how to get French Header Labels

    Posted Nov 16, 2022 02:10 PM

We are working on a project to convert our notification emails sent from CRM into Power Apps, and at the same time, add French language emails in addition to English.  This is all going pretty well, except for one thing.  The field labels in the email Header (To, From, Date, Subject) don't seem to be able to be put in French. The language of the email body is controlled by the value in a custom field. That's working perfectly.
I'm told we have no control over this, and that it is determined by the language on the device being used.  However, when I switch to French on my laptop (confirmed by typing accents successfully), the fields in the email created while my laptop is using French don't change.  I found a different way of changing the language in Windows 10 when I googled the problem, which did cause more verbiage in French, but the effect in the emails was the same.  Does anyone know how to do this?  I figure it must be easy if only you know how.  Example below.  Thanks for your help!

    Cynthia,

Being able to type in French only requires having the language installed for your keyboard. What applications use is the Regional Format settings (assuming you are using Windows). Can you check your settings and retry?

Thanks Spyros - I didn't think of that setting.

Unfortunately it had no effect.  I changed the Region to Canada(French).  I restarted my laptop, and the header field labels are the same as in my original post.

Someone else suggested to me that it's the Personalization language, and that turned out to be correct for viewing the email, but I'm more concerned about the email that was actually sent.  So I'll try a different way to test it as our test environment doesn't send emails.

    Thanks again,
    Cynthia
