Training for CRM Administrators

    Good Morning Ashley,

During the CRMUG meeting last week in Appleton, the group talked about training opportunities.  Would you be able to send some of those options that are available, even if they are paid options?   In the past, I attended a 2-day long-distance learning session which was less than ideal.  There was minimal time for questions and hard to collaborate with attendees because myself and one other person from our company were the only ones in the room.  Attending offsite training or engaging in online training through tutorials would be great.

Looking forward to suggestions on training others have heard about.
    Thank you

    Hey Dawn,

There are a lot of training offerings out there for users and admins to take advantage of. The user group has the Black Belt program that is meant for admins and they have a Sales training course as well. That is all on demand training and you can go at your own pace. I personally have gone through the Black Belt training when I was a new admin and it was a good overview. There are also Academy classes that do training offered through the user group.

I also did training when I was going through the certification process which helped a lot. So depending on which certification you take there are training sessions you can take for those.

Also, partners offer training sessions or boot camps (in-person or virtually) and I'm sure they could respond and let you know what those are. I personally haven't done any so I can't really speak to any, specifically.

What have other people done for training?

    Thanks Ashley,

Where do I find information about the certifications and the Black Belt classes?  Links?

    Hi Dawn,

The Academy and black belt information is in the Training and Education section on the CRMUG site.

The certifications are offered by Microsoft and you can sign up on their website. CRMUG has webinars to help study prep but a lot of companies do study prep as well and offer practice exams.

It is a not a "training" but do want to offer up Ledgeview's Monthly User Group Webinars. This past November we did one on "Best Practices for Beginner Admins" and one in December on "Best Practices for Advanced Admins".  These are just 45 minutes in length so a super high level resource but for anyone that wants to check them out feel free. Ledgeview's Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM User Group Webinars | Ledgeview Partners
