Hi Carol,
You will need CBA and IFD set up for your on-premise environment to be accessible via mobile device. If you have already transitioned to the Unified Interface then I would suggest not using the Dynamics 365 App and instead access your environment directly from the mobile web browser. It will provide your users with a more familiar experience to what they see on the computer and I have had many users say the app locks up and has to be uninstalled and reinstalled to continue using.

Subject: Mobile Apps and Dynamics 365 v9 on-premise
I'm having a hard time finding a definitive answer on this so would appreciate input. I am running Dynamics 365 v9 on-premise and want to enable mobile apps. This Microsoft documentation (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/mobile-app/set-up-dynamics-365-for-phones-and-dynamics-365-for-tablets) states to modify security roles, enable dashboards for mobile, and modify the registries for mobile devices. Does nothing else need to be done or is this in addition to setting up CBA and IFD as stated in the documentation for 8.x?
Thanks for the help!
Carol
