  • 1.  MSCRM_CONFIG.dbo. p_GetCrmUserId Function

    Does anyone know if this function is used to authenticate all CRM Users or is it just used for SSRS reporting authentication??

    Reviewing Google, almost all topics revolve around this being used in SSRS reporting.

    This is a CRM 2016 (v8.2.1) #CRM2016 on-premise environment...

    We are seeing this being executed a bunch in our database and causing some blocking and looking for the source of the call...

    Hello Jay,

    I can't answer your question as to the usage of this function but I'd recommend you raise a Microsoft Support call if you're having issues with it. This is an internal function and any modifications to it or internal tables related to it are likely to be unsupported.

    Also install any updates that might be available for 8.2 (tested in a non-production environment first) because fixes are obviously also delivered in those updates. It could be that your issue is resolved already by one of the fixes.  Microsoft Support will probably ask you to do this anyway.
