I'm testing out the business card scanning feature of the 2020 wave 1 release.  I have everything setup per the instructions, i have the system setting to retain the scanned image turned on and everything is working except being able to view the saved image.  Once i perform the scan and the fields populate, i can see the image, once i save and refresh the page the image is gone.

Has anyone else been able to see the card image after a save and page refresh?

    any help is appreciated,

    Hi Jim,

You know what, I have also faced this same issue recently and resolved it using below tricks/tweaks.

First of all below are the prerequisites of using Business card scanner in Model driver app/UCI application.

    1. User must have Sales Enterprise License
    2. User must be assigned security 'common data service user'
      • Note if user = System admin then above role assignment is not needed

Make sure you meet above prerequisites and now regarding the issue you are facing, from 1 of the Microsoft's official documentation on Business card setup I have found that I was missing 'Cleaned Image' property setup. This property must be set to single line/multi line text field through which you are scanning Business card. Example – if you have utilized OOB field of Business card scan then set it to 'businesscard'.

Here is the documentation which I had referred to – https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/ai-builder/business-card-reader-component-model-driven

    Nandita,

That did it.  I had to put BusinessCard (multiple) in both the cleaned image and default image, but after that it appears to work fine.  Thanks for the help.

    Thank you,
