Abstract/session submission and jurying

  • 1.  Abstract/session submission and jurying

Our organizations run several conferences which include breakout sessions. We are looking for a new system to manage the acceptance of the session abstracts and related jurying process. Is anyone aware of an existing CRM solution that is available that could accomplish this? Anyone built something like this themselves?

    Thanks,
    Dave

@Dave Teske - Have you checked into D365 for Marketing? They have an Event Management solution. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/marketing/event-management

For community events, I've been using Sessionize.  For free events it's a free service; not sure the pricing model for paid events.  But it's great.

    Hi @Dave Teske and all,

Across the User Groups, we've used a variety of tools over the years to consolidate and organize content and the like.  The irony of all these tools and we've used free and paid versions of them from SurveyMonkey, Office 365 Forms, third party paid solutions like Sched.Org or CadmiumCD, is that more often than not, we find the power of Excel the easiest way yet to collaborate, dissect, and share information with other folks on a committee, in part because no one tool has been ideal.  From experience, you want to stay away from paper and "whiteboards" no doubt (evidence below, too "old school" for today's day and age so stay away from this if you can).  Agree with @Aaron Back, MCSE I'm looking forward to Event Management in Dynamics 365 for Marketing if/when we ever get there.

But as with anything in data, if you structure it the right way, organize the intent of content any solid cloud database tool or even yes, Excel is an adequate choice.  If getting into events where you have 50+ sessions and so forth you are managing, give me a call and I can share with you a really cool template we created to manage content more visually with some awesome IFERROR and VLookups in Excel that have saved me hours of time in managing content.

    Happy to help!
