UI - Duplicate Detection grid does not show record Status

    We have just upgraded to the Unified Interface and the Duplicate Detection box that pops up does not include the record status of the identified potential duplicate record(s).  I am told that we cannot add this field to this box.  I find this hard to believe as many times the potential duplicate record is one that is Inactive, but could also be Active.  Is anyone else having this same issue?  Any resolutions?

    Unless there's been some recent change, the columns shown in this view should be a combination of the columns from the Quick Find view for the entity, plus any columns that are part of your duplicate detection rules. So you should be able to get this column to show by adding it to the Quick Find view.

    Alternatively, if the problem is that you don't want to see inactive records as duplicates, you can exclude these in the configuration of your duplicate detection rules so they're not shown in the first place.

    Hi Hugh,

    If you are unable to re-achieve your original goals in the new UCI, we have a solution that greatly enhances the duplicate detection process. Furthermore, our approach is proactive as users enter new data, rather than waiting until they have entered everything and saving the record.

    Just let me know if you want more info and we can talk directly to preserve the non-commercial aspect of the forum.

    Hi Hugh,
    We did not like the duplicate detection on UI compared to CRM 2013 on prem.  UI version seems to have less functionality - good news is Wave 2 has lots more functionality on duplicate detection including showing multiple duplicate records and allows you to merge records.  Roll on October.
    In the meantime we CTRL+left click on the duplicate record to open this record in another browser so a user can check it without losing the original record they were trying to create when they got the duplicate detection message.

    Hello,

    I am on v9 D365 online.  I have the UI in our test environment and will be upgrading this weekend.

    Is there a way to ensure only the records that fit that criteria show up as an option in the look up menu in that duplicate box?  I purposely put account details in the New Account section on the lead form, but when i look in the drop down, it shows records that are linked to me, not relevant to the address information, which is what our dup rules are based on.
