    Hi,

Once an email is created in CRM, it will have the date:

Opening the email record and clicking reply will strip the date from "Received":

Any idea how we can fix this?

We have CRM 2016 on premises:

    Thanks,
    Hasan.

Hi @Hasan Bazerbashi, i've tried to replicate this and cannot.  We are on CRM Online v9 so maybe it is an OnPrem issue.  Would be good if another OnPrem user can confirm this.

Do you know how long this issue has been going on?  Do you know if this issue wasn't happening in a previous version?

If you don't get any other replies, I'd raise a Microsoft Premier Support ticket.

Sorry I can't be of anymore help.

    Hi @Hasan Bazerbashi

We had this issue when we installed CRM 2016.
Our workaround was to write some js on the email form. The js would set the received date if it was missing.
I looked at the code and see a comment that said it would be fixed in a later version. We are on 8.2.2.112, so it is probably fixed by now.
I still have the code in the js, but I believe it is not inserting the date as it is checking for an empty 'received'
Let me know if you want a copy of the code?

    Thanks

Hi @Christian J. Betrisey, I would appreciate it if you share the JS code 😊 We should prepare to update our CRM as well.

    Hi Hasan

Attached is the part of the js that set the received date in the email copy.

Note that we are using  XrmSvcToolkit.js to retrieve data from CRM, but you can use other libraries.

    Note also that

The function has to be run with a delay, otherwise, the description (body) is not there.
The statement on line 77 will only set the date if it is empty, which is the case on our version 8.2.2.

    Hope this helps
