    Hello:

    Thanks for the opportunity to learn more about Dynamics through these posts. As someone new to Dynamics it has been helpful to follow the insights of others. :)
    I am looking for a solution where I could run a report or be sent an email alert when a specific field is modified in a contact record. Currently we are running a report on modified by and modified date, but that reports any field is touched and saved in a contacts record. I would like to know if there is an option to get details on which fields within a contact record were updated. One example would be when the email address is updated for a contact vs their job title change.

    You can create a workflow for that. Select the trigger "Record Field Changes" and then select the field which you want to monitor. In your workflow you can add conditions if needed.

    We incorporate Workflow Elements by Aiden Kaskela in to workflows where an automated email is sent based on the trigger "record field changes"

    This allows the recipient to see both the old and the new values for more context.
