We are a fee-only Registered Investment Advisor, located in Orlando, FL.

We're looking into whether to adopt some sort of wealth management add-on/solution with our Dynamics 365/CRM. We are currently on-premises but will be moving to the cloud during 2020.
Because we have to migrate our data, rather than upgrade, that will be an opportune time to make changes in our data design.
We've seen a demo of Salentica CRM and it looks really good, but would like to see demos of anything else that is out there. We use Black Diamond for portfolio management, which is owned by Salentica's parent company.

So if you are working or have worked with wealth management firm(s) using Dynamics CRM, I'd like to get info from you.

Have you used Salentica's solution, or have you considered it?

Are you using any other solution you bought from another company? If so, what?

Did you build your own solution?

Would you mind if I contact you offline to get more details from you?

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Hello Karla, I have worked on a project with an Asset Management company which was using Dynamics CRM. As I understand, you already have Dynamics CRM for some other function within your organization and trying to use it for Wealth management? If so, What kind of transactions/activities/functionalities are you trying to achieve from Dynamics CRM.

    Hi Sunil --
We're not looking to start over with new design. We want to look at commercial solutions that are already designed and in use.
We are using Dynamics CRM for our wealth management firm, but we're hampered by the fact that we started with version 1.2 and its limitations. So we had to repurpose existing entities (because custom entities didn't exist). The firm that did our conversion from our Access database back in 2004 didn't understand good database design, and so they set up our clients using the Account entity and added a bunch of fields so that we could hold information for both spouses, rather than using the Account for a household and Contact records for each person. Because of that, we would be unable to move forward with the Common Data Model and Common Data Services.

I undertand Karla. I will let you know if I come across any such solution that fits your needs. I would suggest that you explore the industry specific solutions on the Dynamics market place. There are a wide variety of pre-configured solutions there, so there is a high chance that you may find something that you like.

Hi Karla, I've implemented Dynamics CRM and 365 in several investment management companies as a custom solution. I've kept a track of a couple of interesting vertical solutions that you might want to take a look at: Time4Advice (http://time4advice.co.uk) and Wealth Dynamics (http://wealth-dynamix.com). I've not evaluated or implemented either solution.

    Good luck.
