    TAGGING

    We are looking at adding Tagging to our CRM.

    Anyone have any recommendations - Positive or Negative.

    • Custom Build
    • Preact Record Tagging Solution

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Hi Anthony,
    I'd suggest avoiding Yammer, just because I don't think it has much longevity as a product.  I'm not very familiar with the other solutions, but thought I'd mention ours as it's pretty inexpensive and might meet your needs: https://powerobjects.com/powerpacks/powerhashtag/

    Hi Anthony,

    Not sure what level of features you need but we have done basic tagging for customers using a multi-select optionset. This approach provides more control over the tags that are created and used, improving your reporting and search. Just remember to add the new fields to Relevance search.

    Thanks Mike. I have considered your solution, however because we would be using it in a business process flow for activities I am staying clear. I do like the simplicity of this solution and wish it would work.

    We are an advocacy group. When we talk with our Hospitals and mention they are passionately trying to solve ...Homelessness, Seismic Issues, Rehabilitation we want to note that on their Account / Contact / Activity. This will allow us to grab them in the future if we introduce any legislation. It also might help us drive legislation as we listen to our members and hear their concerns.

    Hi,

    You can also utilize Marketing list to tag records in CRM. Only limitation to this is you can only tag Lead, Account and Contact records.

    Whenever you tag any record, you will need add this record to marketing list. Create marketing list as static marketing list.
