Is there a way to add in a comment section to the view you get when you are deactivating an account. I have the reason but sales wants a comments section to add in any notes on why they are deactivating it

View of what I want to add to deactivating an account

@Janet Grant to my knowledge it is not possible to modify the deactivate dialogue - at least not using configuration. It might be that it is possible using code,

A workaround could be to create a custom deactivate button and hiding the existing one using the Ribbon Workbench by @Scott Durow. Then you could create a custom dialog, and run some JavaScript to update the status to inactive. However, I'm not a developer so you need someone to verify that it is possible.

Another way, could be to create a Instant Flow that you run in context of the account. Here you can added custom field, and then update the status of the account to inactive. However, you would then need to deactivate the account from the Flow fly-out menu instead of the standard deactivate button. I think it actually might also be possible to trigger a flow from a custom button in the ribbon - so a kind of hybrid solution 🦾
