​Hi Team,

So like I'm still trying to get a hand on this configuration thing.

I was able to create multiple Duplication Rules for a project I'm working.

This has been one of the most easiest thing, using out of the box functionality, I have ever done. :) Very easy and very helpful.

However, as I was packaging my solution to move my configuration items from my BUILD environment to my TEST environment I couldn't find anything on left hand navigation menu that indicated Data Management were the duplication rules reside.

I was able to move my entities, dashboards, workflows and security roles but nothing for my duplication rules. I thought because I related the rules to the entity, that by simply moving my entity in the solution the rules would follow. Unfortunately, not true. Everything I packaged into the solution came over but not the duplication rules.

Can someone tell me where on the solution can I include my duplication rule.

FYI: We are currently using CRM 2015 (on prem).

Hi Jose,

Till now microsoft has not provided any ways to export and import Duplicate detection rules as part of Solution.

you will have to manually create in Target instance.

Hi Jose,

If I remember rightly from my training there are a number of things that do not move across in a Solution and actually have to be done in the Production system. This might be one of those.

Sure someone more experienced than me will be able to confirm or deny this shortly :-)

While I haven't used it, there's an add-on to the XrmToolBox called "Duplicate Rule Mover" that looks like it will do this very thing.
The XrmToolbox is incredibly versatile and useful

Is Duplicate rule mover is not available for CRM 2015 on-prem version.

Hi Jose,

There is no way you can include Duplicate detection rules inside a solution. I see you are currently using CRM 2015 (on prem), but if you were using D365 online version then you could use a third party solution like XRMToolBox which gives you an ability to migrate duplicate detection rules between environments. If you need more information, here is the link to that: https://www.xrmtoolbox.com/plugins/Vitalogy.XTB.DuplicateRulesMover/

You will have to manually create/modify duplicate detection role in each environment.
