Interactive Emails

We utilize ClickDimensions for email campaigns. We are looking to create and send an interactive email to our clients. The creation of a custom interactive email isn't something we have experience with. Is there anyone who has worked with a third party to create a custom email? If so, would you be willing to share who you worked with? Thanks!

    Paul,

I am not sure what you mean by an interactive email?  Emails are not like websites in that there are many more limitations in the types of "interactivity" you can create.  Email clients vary far more than browser clients and do not work the same leading to more variation in coding.  Nonetheless, we use Click Dimensions extensively to send out highly formatted emails with calls to action etc.

If it would be helpful, we could put you in touch with our marketing team.  Also, they have a "coach" from Click Dimensions who works on making sure we obtain maximum value from the solution.

    Hi Paul,

I work for (and use daily) the emfluence Marketing Platform with D365. We can do interactive emails (variable content, lots of personalization options and content types) and have a deep integration with Dynamics. No pressure, but here's some information if you're interested: https://emarketingplatform.com/emfluence-marketing-platform-for-microsoft-dynamics/

We also use Dynamics internally. Happy to share any info if you like!

    Hi Paul,

I work for Touchdown and use it for my communication, a marketing suite integrated within D365. We support interactive emails (e.g. variable content, personalisation and different content types). Here is some information if you're interested: https://www.touchdown.co/

Do not hesitate to get back to me, I would be happy to share my insights!

In my previous job, I worked with XpertDoc to create not just custom interactive emails, but also contracts, agreements, etc.  It's an absolutely fantastic product and fully integrates into Dynamics (and some other CRMs as well).  I found it very easy to use and extremely flexible.  I was easily able to install it myself and create all my forms and emails without assistance.  When I ran into an issue, I had excellent support.  I believe free trials are available, if you are interested in taking a look.

    Hi,

I have already used XPertDoc for Word documents and it is a really good tool. Never had the chance to use it for emails but I agree with @Terry Letkeman that you should try it. Other tools should also work, yet if you only need email formating and variable content, without any marketing automation, they may be to much for your needs.

This is why we prefer using a tool we created in order to manage complex email templates in our clients projects.

The tool is really lightweight, has it only include what is needed to improve Dynamics built-in templates. In fact, there is no change in behaviour for the users !

Yet it allows a great flexibility when designing email templates, Allowing html  and images for formating the emails, and adding a template syntax that allows lots of variable content, for exemple formating dates and money fields according to the region and languages selected, Loops, Conditions, ...

We are currently thinking of making this tool available in the Microsoft AppSource, so let me know if you would be interested by it.

    Best Regards,
