Inserting Signatures in Email from Unified Interface

    Good afternoon!

We are having trouble inserting signatures into emails sent from the unified interface. I can + New Email and the form loads with an option to insert signature. When I click Insert Signature, the Insert Signature box displays, but nothing will populate in the Search Signature box. I created a test signature and searched for it, but all I get is a message that says "Loading."

Is this functionality not present in the unified interface yet? Why would we get an Insert Signature button if it can't be done? Anyone else experience something similar?

    Thanks!

Hi @Julie Reynolds, we haven't moved over to the UI but just tested it and I get the same "Loading" message as you.  The only way I can get the signature to appear in the body of the email is if I set the email signature as default.  Email templates work fine so you may have to use these temporarily but I'd suggest raising a Microsoft Premier Support Ticket.

Here is the list of capabilities not yet in the UI and email signatures aren't listed although Template (which Email Signatures fall under) is listed in the read-only entity list but I suspect this is a red herring.

@Mark Aston, Thanks for your response and including the list of capabilities not yet in the UI.

How do I set an email signature as default? I'm not seeing that option. It's probably something simple! I've been troubleshooting several different issues today and my brain is exhausted!

    Thanks again for the assistance.

No problem @Julie Reynolds.  In the classic UI, go into Settings > Templates > Email Signatures, open the signature and click on Set as Default.

Let me know if you don't see this option.

@Mark Aston, Thank you! That's exactly what we need. I don't think I ever knew that existed, and we probably could have made life a lot easier for us in the classic UI!  I was looking for the set as default on the list of signatures level. I don't know why I didn't think to open the saved signature.

There are so many little things that you never know to ask about and this was one of those until it became a problem. Again, thanks for your assistance!

No problem @Julie Reynolds, glad I could help.  Totally agree, there are so many little options/tricks/tips in the system.  The hope is that there is always someone on the CRMUG who can assist.
