Ok, so I am not sure if I should post this here or not but feel free to let me know if I should move it somewhere else. #Focus-D365UG/CRMUG

My first question is with regards to the connection of D365 Business Central to CRM Online. From what I understand you don't need a third party tool anymore and it is more straight forward. I actually started to do it and it asked me for the D365 Solution URL, but from there I do not know how the connection would work (did not have a solution to connect to) - for example the custom entities (would you create the same custom entities that you have in CRM and then just connect them?) I would love to watch a video and see how its done or read about it. I have been watching a couple of videos for this new product and I am impressed, I like it and look forward to more details on it.
I did a little research for training options, but I can't seem to find any yet...
Anybody there who has more info?

We are looking at implementing CRM online (Customer service and Field service) in a couple of months and we want also to integrate with Dynamics GP. Although we are not happy with GP and we would love to start looking at D365 Business Central in more depth, I am hesitant on starting that process because it just came out... and not sure how this would work - me learning at the same time with the partners :)..... Do we get any discounts for being the one of the first customers?
I never had to look into a software that just came out on the market.....Any advice?

    Hi Emilia,

Well congratulations on being curious about Business Central.   If you know anyone who uses NAV, it is very similar in design.

First off, for pricing, your best bet is to talk to your MS Partner.  Discounts can be based on so many things, like when you purchased, what promotions are running, number of users, etc...  Your partner should be able to work for you on pricing.

Secondly,  Connecting  D365 BC and D365 CRM online depends on a lot of things.  They will need to be in the same tenant.    Under your Office 365 portal, do you have the option to add Bus Central Trial version?   Depending how your licensing is working right now, you should be able to go under billing, add subscription and see if you see it as an option.

Being that it is so new, there will be a big gap between "Theory" and "Realty".

Thank you for the information, yes I did get a trial just did not get a chance to spend  enough time in it. We currently have Dynamics GP and for us throughout the years, it presented a considerable amount of limitations.
The Business Central videos are general and what I am looking for is the service module functionality within BC. Also my big question is how does it handle classic MRP functions?
Looking for training for BC, but I guess everyone else is waiting for that also :).

    Thank you again,

    Hi @Emilia Scott,

These are good questions! We do have a NAVUG User Group if you want to bounce over there and ask some other interested parties. Just email me and I can help set you up over there with a subscriber account. To your point, a lot of people are waiting for some of these answers :)
