Outlook Client, Duplicate Sync Filters

    We have been installing the Outlook Client on users computers for a few months now.  We've noticed a trend on the managers install that we need some help with.

    The location of our issue within the client is when you go into Outlook under the CRM Options, and click on Sync Filters.

    When we install the Outlook client on the users systems there is only one sync filter of each type, however, when we install it on the managers system they have duplicates and we just noticed it seems to duplicate by the number of users they have reporting to them.  It may have just been a coincidence but we were hoping someone could shed some light on if there was a reason, and if its needed because we have been inactivating the duplicates.

    I realize this original post is from 5 years ago, but I wanted to add a solution I found.  In Settings > Security > Hierarchy Security settings, you can choose the entities that are included/excluded.  I excluded all entities, and then only chose those only Leads and Opportunities, which are the two that I want managers to have visibility into.  It could be because those two entities did not have any sync filters tied to them, but updating this list removed all of my managers' duplicate sync filters.  Some of them had over 100 and now they are back down to the main 6 that we utilize.
