    Greetings!

Thank you to all who attended my webinar last Thursday.

There were three questions at the end of the webinar. I promised to do additional research and answer them. Here they are:

Q1)   Do Plugins have any different approach for HTTP vs HTTPS protocol ??  security in terms of CRM 2013.....

A1) I am not aware of any differences in CRM 2013.

Q2)   I was wondering if there's a supported way to get the Organization GUID via Javascript?  I know how to get the UniqueName, also looking for the GUID...

A2) Although it is not "built-in" per se, there is indeed a supported way to retrieve that information via an ODATA call. I have attached the file getOrgGuid.js to this message which demonstrates the technique.

Q3)  Can web service calls be made from plugins from CRM 2013 Online?  I meant web service calls to third party web services from inside of a plugin in CRM 2013 online.

A3) The following pages demonstrate how to do this in the context of a CRM 2011 plugin.

    http://crmhunt.com/how-to-call-external-wcf-service-within-crm-2011-plugins/

    http://mscrmmindfire.wordpress.com/2013/06/14/calling-external-web-service-from-a-crm-2011-plug-in/

I see no reason why those techniques should not also work in a CRM 2013 plugin.

This is a basic example of web access from a sandboxed plug-in. This could be expanded to pass parameters via the QueryString:
