D365 Outlook App tracking contacts

How do you track (set regarding) on contacts from Outlook to D365 with the new app? I am able to do it from emails, but not from the contact section, there is nothing on the ribbon.
    Am I missing something?

    Thank you!

You're not missing anything … the app works with contacts differently than how the Outlook Client did.

Here is the official documentation: Dynamics 365 App for Outlook User's Guide

Scroll down until you get to the part that says "Access the add-in".  This is the new place you go to in order to manage syncing contacts between Outlook and Dynamics (not the default view of contacts).

Once contacts are synced, you can update them in the standard list of contacts in Outlook.

In my opinion, this is not a very intuitive process for users.  When using the Outlook App, I suggest you help users to do the initial sync between Outlook and Dynamics and train them to create CRM contacts directly in Dynamics from then on so that they won't have to deal with syncing Outlook contacts with CRM.

Microsoft is continuing to focus on improving the Outlook App - so hopefully we will see some improvements made to this process in the future (including better syncing of Tasks).
