Has anyone had issues with tracking email for a customer entity since the upgrade? We're using the online version tracking was working prior to the upgrade. Now we cannot get custom entities to appear as a record type to track.

A couple of additional points. This issue is happening when users are using the Outlook APP from the Outlook desktop app. But, we can see the custom entity when using the Outlook Web Client.

This is a great question that sent me hunting deep into the internals of Dynamics 365 App For Outlook.

I traced this app to find out how it works

Here's what I've learned. The integrated app that you see inside outlook when you click the Dynamics 365 icon is a web app. It is loaded from `~/crmmailapp/index.html` in a small window on the right side of your email window.

So when you load the app in Outlook, what you're seeing is actually a Model-Driven App. You can find the Dynamics 365 App For Outlook under the Model-driven Apps section of your solution manager.

If you want your custom entities to appear inside the app, you just need to add them to the Entity View section of this PowerApp. Once you do that, you should be able to publish the app and your changes will immediately be visible in your Outlook. As with anytime you make changes, you should be careful and do all of your changes in sandbox firs, then export as a managed solution or patch to your production systems.

This should fix it, but note that because the Dynamics 365 App For Outlook is a special kind of beast, you aren't able to "Play" the power app. It works only from within the embedded browser window inside of Outlook.

    Hope this helps!

Nick,  I finally had to open a case with Microsoft, to solve the issue. But, you're exactly right. It's straight forward and only takes a couple of minutes to fix IF you know this new feature exists. :)

They certainly don't make it easy to keep up with everything!
