    Hi CRMUG'ers,
We're on Dynamics 365 Online v9x.  We haven't moved over to the new UUI but just having a play and noticed that when performing a global search that the list of entities that you can search on in the UUI has reduced (see below).

Is there a setting that controls this or is this related to Relevance Search, which we haven't enabled yet.

    Thanks.

@Mark Aston - There are a few things to consider.

First, you mentioned you do not have Relevance Search enabled. That's fine as the new UI will use the Categorized Search settings. The Categorized Search is managed under the System Settings/General tab. Scroll down to the "Set up Search" section and click on "Select" next to the "Select entities for Categorized Search".

Once you click this, you will see entity options to include in the "Selected Entities" area. Keep in mind that you can select up to 10 entities. So, choose wisely.

After you apply this, you will notice the same options listed in the new UI under the Categorized Search.

I have noticed, however, that custom entities are not appearing in the Categorized Search. If you use the Relevance Search, then you can set up native and custom entities.

Thanks @Aaron Back, MCSE, i've amended the list of entities for Categorized Search (removed Competitor, added two custom entities - Content Improvement and Product Migration) and put them in alphabetical order.  The UUI Categorized Search is still only showing 4 entities although the order of them has changed.

I've just been playing around in a sandbox environment (including enabling Relevance Search) and noticed that the entities available for Categorized Search are based on whether you are in the Customer Service or Sales hub!  The screenshot I sent in my previous message was in our Production environment in the Customer Service hub (I haven't installed the Sales hub in Production yet) which is why Leads and Opportunities weren't showing.  I assume your screenshot was from the Sales hub?
