  • 1.  Sales licensed user in Dynamics 365: can they do Cases?

    To renew our Dynamics CALs, I am dividing up my "Professional" users into "Sales" and "Customer Service".

    Is it correct that:
    1. "Sales" users can't Create or Edit Cases?
    2. "Customer Service" users can't Create or Edit Marketing Lists?

    If a user needs to do both those things, then do they have to have a Plan 1 License?

    Yes, that is correct.  And unfortunately Plan 1 licenses are not available at Promo pricing.

    Since we're sticking with On-Premises for the time being, what do people do that need functionality of both Customer Service and Sales? Do you have to buy two licenses per person?
