Our nonprofit has been using Dynamics CRM for client and donor/donation tracking for close to five years now. For donation tracking, we've always used Microsoft's "nonprofit accelerator" toolkit/plugins. Generally, the accelerator tools have worked well. However, we just upgraded to 2015 (on prem) and have been having lots of problems with the nonprofit accelerator plugins. Our implementation partner (and my online research) tells me that the accelerator program has been discontinued and there's no updated solution available through Microsoft.
Trying to figure out how to move forward. We COULD have our implementation partner dig in and try to fix the plugins. Generally, though, we've been trying to avoid highly customized solutions in favor of plugin solutions (working on a nonprofit budget...). Another option is that we could scrap the nonprofit accelerator toolkit and try to find another commercial solution. Not ideal, either, since we've entered a lot of data into the current donation infrastructure.
Wondering if there are other nonprofits out there who've run into similar issues and what you've ended up with for donation tracking in CRM 2015. Any insight much appreciated.
