Would anybody be interested in a meeting among the Developers in our Group to discuss Development issues, new or recent releases and the impact on Code? We can also use some of this time to problem solve as a group our specific coding problems.
I would also like to feature a demonstration on a Company’s enhancements from a Coding perspective? More likely than not we will be discussing legacy CRM Versions and upgrading to newer Versions rather than looking at all of the latest and greatest that CRM is bringing out. This is especially true of those of us that have On-Premise versions of CRM where we there is a delay in the release of features, while other features we may never see.
If there is enough interest I would be looking at setting up a meeting possibly in the middle of January to early February.
I am interested. Have been doing 2016 on perm from the beta so over an year.
I would be interested from the perspective of bringing our Dev Manager so, they could gain and understanding what is involved with developing in CRM and what skills are required.
This meeting would be a great place for that, Jim. In fact, if not in this meeting maybe in a future meeting we can go through some of the basics of the CRM SDK, and perhaps some of the pitfalls one should avoid. I also think a "best coding practices" would be good in a future meeting. I am always trying to make my code better from a programming perspective.
I also believe this would be helpful to any Power Users who are not Developers to attend as well. It could open up options for changes and enhancements to their CRM Product that they had not considered before and give them a peak at what is under the CRM engine, so to speak.
That is enough interest for me to want to get this meeting set up.
For those of you who are interested but have not yet expressed it, please continue to post. Thank you..
Great idea...I would like to take part in a Development Users Group meeting. We are currently using CRM Online.
Let me know if you want me to contribute. I have done a lot of SDK,SSIS, XRM work over the last 7 yrs in CRM.
