As the CRMUG World Turns: The Chaos

    What a year.

Here is a brief summary, from a CRMUG point of view. Covid was devastating. Tony Stein, long time General Manager of the UG was outed, as well as most of all the UG's leadership. John Siefert was brought in as a new CEO. The Decision Acceleration Community platform was introduced. Now, Microsoft has stepped in.

As leaders, we have struggled how to adapt with the continuity of providing good content, networking possibilities, and a forum to answer your questions from strategic to day-to-day. Please bear with us as we figure it out given the changing landscape!

The latest news is that the Power Platform has been growing tremendously. If you've seen the latest announcements, Power Automate is now part of Windows and Excel as Power Fx, just about anyone can build an Canvas App and a Power BI report.  Microsoft wants to guide the education of everyone in the Power Platform. Given the Dynamics products are within the Power Platform, they are going to provide vast resources, probably for free, for us to continue with what we have always been doing. Stay tuned...

In the meantime, Chad Althaus will be talking about Power Automate in this weeks Power Platform UG meeting. Please join us there!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Wow - I jumped on here to see if any of my friends here would have a recommendation for a good Field Services app consultant to work with, and everything seems to have fallen apart!
Where did Tony go!? And why is DAC such a crappy website? And why is the new dude in charge being argumentative to a group member just looking for answers? Makes me want to join the next user group meeting just to listen to everyone's thoughts on this, but it appears those have disappeared on me as well.

Yeesh. Good luck to you guys, @Mark Suchman and @Chad Althaus And I thought the SFDC community site was a hot mess.

Good news, Brooke! Microsoft is taking over the local user groups, so we'll all be heading over there before long.
