Plug-In Failure Issue

    Hello,

    I'm working with a client on a migrations CRM2016 to all new environments D365 On-preme 8.2x (service update applied) to get rid of years of bad code custom code. In doing so, we have run into the error below with the new environments with mutli-server setup (Front End +Backend) for PROD.

    Note:
    Current CRM PROD environment has multi-server setup and working just fine. Dev is setup as single server and it works fine.
    (QA, UAT) environments showing error: Sandbox Server Cannot be found. Sandbox server is running and restarted but still same error and I verified Async Service is running)

    ==================================

    We have "unsandboxed" the plugin's and they work just fine but since these a big part of the product code and we know the plugins work for online and single server deployments, we don't want to leave them like this as it can cause server and performance problems.

    Researching this issue point to server setup and deployment config (SPN's) and MS support is not helping....any thoughts?

    Hi There

    Do you have more than one backend server and more than one front end server - are they load balanced?

    Just thinking is it a load balancer issue. You could just have one server at FE and one at BE and test your plugin again, if that's the case.

    Hello Abdul,

    Thank you for your reply...We have 1 FE and 1 BE, and SQL all on separate servers.....Asyc, and webservices on the BE. We resolved the issue with "Sandbox Not Found" by disabling the domain firewall.  Now i'm getting this error:

    Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: PA.CRM2011.ANG.CreateHandler: An error occurred. I was able to find the corresponding error code in the SDK error log:
    <crmerror>
    <ErrorId>80040265</ErrorId>
    <ManagedErrorName>IsvAborted</ManagedErrorName>
    <ErrorMessage>ISV code aborted the operation.</ErrorMessage>
    <ErrorType>ClientError</ErrorType>
    <UnManagedErrorName>IDS_ISV_ABORTED</UnManagedErrorName>
    </crmerror>
    ==========================================
    we know that if we "un-sandbox" the plug-ins they work but that is a temp solution until we can find out what the issue is.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    1. Do your plugins reference another assembly that is in your GAC/ make calls to another assembly/ dependency/ reference an external assembly
    2. Is the Sandbox service running and the account its running under is valid/ credentials have not expired etc.

    Thank you again for taking the time to respond.

    Yes, Sandbox Service is running and the account is valid...I will check with our DEV but I pretty sure they do reference another assembly...I can tell you that we don't have this problem for any of our online customers or on-premise with single server deployment and this customer has existing PROD environment setup with multi-server and the plug-ins work fine.

    The Error Code reference from this WebSite

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/developer/org-service/web-service-error-codes

    is

    Name: AsyncCommunicationError  - A communication error occurred while processing the async operation.
    Hex: 80044307
    Number: -2147204345

    I don;t know the Solution but I hope this will point you in the right direction
