    Hi @Giovanni manunta,

The links in the Outlook App should follow your "default browser" as how you have set it in Windows. Click on the Windows Start logo in the left bottom corner and without clicking anywhere, start typing "Default App Setting". Please double check what browser is selected there for the specific user. I bet it's IE ;-)

    kind regards,

    Hi Giovanni,
That's odd.. I switched a few times between Chrome and Firefox before I wrote my reply above, and clicking the "View Record in Dynamics" button in the Outlook App followed my selection of default app...

Could it be that your company pushes Internet Explorer, regardless your choice of default app?

Did you try clicking links from other applications? You could try pasting a web address in a word file (make sure it picks up as a hyperlink) and click it. What browser does it open? Does that change when you select a different browser in your default apps area?

If it still takes you to internet explorer, regardless what browser you select as default, you might wanna contact your IT department.

    good luck!

    Hello Rogier,

    I made this tests:

I pasted a web link in Notepad++ and I clicked it, page opened in chrome

I pasted a web link in Excel 2016 and I clicked it, page opened in chrome

I changed the default web app to IE and the I link was opened in IE

Can may be the version of outlook 2016??

Ah, so what we know now, is that your Default App setting does work :-) at least for everything outside Outlook 2016. I am on Outlook 365 here, so I can't really reproduce your issue...

If I find anything on it, I will let you know.

    >>EDIT<<

and right when I sent my reply, I thought of the following:

    - go back to your Default App settings, scroll down to the bottom and choose: Choose default apps by protocol.

    - search for the HTTP and the HTTPS protocol.

I think those are still set to Internet Explorer. Try setting those to Chrome and try again (I'd recommend closing/re-opening your Outlook).

Let me know if that worked!

Hi Giovanni - did you ever get a resolution for this issue?
I'm currently working on the same issue with Microsoft.
