Need HELP.

    Hi all.  I copied an form and added some new fields, renamed the old form to XXXX - OLD and then named the new form the old form's name.  Now for some reason when user go to the new form, it is pulling up a completely different form (oddly it is the first fore listed under the entity - forms section).  Is there somewhere I tell the system what form to look at?

    @Tim Jarumbo - Hello! There are a couple of areas you may want to check. First, check the "Form Order" area to see if the form you want the users to use is at the top. Click on "Form Order" and then "Main Forms".



    In the "Form Order" window, select the form you need to use and move it to the top.

    Next, I would check the Form Security. Back in the list of all the Forms under the Entity, click on you form and then click "Enable Security Roles" next to "Form Order". Be sure the appropriate options are selected. Then, select the "old" form that you don't want the users to use and remove the security roles from this form.

    Lastly, be sure to Publish the updates.

    I have done both and it still bring up the first form in the list of forms under entities even though I have the new form as the first in the list when in form order.  I also assigned the security roles to "Display to Everyone" and sett he Enabled for fallback to on and turned it off for the other form and it still pull the other form....  Arrrgh..

    Did you set within the app designer, so it is linked to your form?

    ex.
    Model Driven Apps
    =>

    appdesigner
    You'll need to activate the form right here (see pic), to see it within the list

    I am running Dynamics CRM 2011.  Where do I get to that option?  I am not familiar with App Designer

    You should also clear your browsers cache. For example, I had the same problem recently and in my Chrome browser I used Ctrl+Shift+R to clear the cache and reload the form.

    I had the same issue a few weeks ago but this was on version 9.1 and the fix for me was to deactivate the newly created form, publish all customizations, clear cache, reactivate the form and publish all customizations again.

    I tried a couple times of removing the security roles and adding them back on the new form and removing from the old form and it worked.  T

    We just upgrade to 9.X and noticed a similar issue.  While nothing had changed on existing forms, some form security roles started being enforced in the new version.  Once we added the missing role, everything worked fine.
