D365 Online - Odd Pinned Item Behavior

we are on D365 CRM online with the new UI. I am SysAdmin role.
I use the pinned items to help manage frequent reviews. About a month ago, other items started showing up on my pinned items, deleting them only found them returning in a day or two. I use both Chrome and Edge on two separate PCs with multiple tabs and an iPad and infrequently the mobile app. I have gone as far as removing all pinned items while in only one browser and one tab with success only for that session. Next day they all return.

Has anyone else experienced this? I find no settings in CRM nor threads regarding this online.

    Hi Richard,

I just noticed that same thing about a week ago. I tested it out for the last 7 days by removing all of my Pinned items and it keeps reverting back in 2 days. I have just been using my PC with Chrome. I might test out my mobile app and see if that does anything different.

Have you heard anything else about this? I think we will just open a ticket with Microsoft and go from there. I didn't see anything else online either, other than your post here.

    No word from anyone else.

First I thought competing browser Caches/Tabs might be causing it but I have closed all and they creep back in.

I always check this group first. I agree with a MS ticket should be opened.

Happening in our environment as well. Very frustrating as it helps focus my sales team. Eager to hear of any solutions/resolution.

We opened a ticket with Microsoft a couple of weeks ago and they are currently working on a fix.

I just had a User report the same issue and I was able to reproduce it.

But, mine are immediately back by refreshing the browser.

1 - Pin item from Recent
2 - Confirm item in Pinned items
3 - Remove pin from Pinned items
4 - Confirm pin is also removed from Recent list
    5 - Pins appear removed
    6 - Refresh browser
7 - Pinned items are back in Pinned and the Pin shows set in Recent

Would love to hear any resolution on this one.

I am happy to report that pinned items appear to be working as expected now. I first noticed the improved behavior on July 21, but waited to see if multiple sessions and multiple browsers would pollute this. Today I am delighted to report this is still working in IE, Edge and Chrome.
