Account Owner Change Cascades, how make it stop

    Hi,

We had 2 Accounts with associated Opportunities, Quotes and Orders.  Each entity had a different owner.  When ownership of Account was changed, all the associated records became owned by the new Account Owner.  Triggering workflows unnecessarily and causing us work to go back and manually adjust associated records.

We have checked the Account relationship 1:N entity and found all cascading to be set to "none".

Not sure why ownership of associated entities changed it this was set to "none".  How do we keep this from happening in the future?

We have used the CRM now for 1.5 years, and luckily have had no changes to our sales team (owner of accounts).  This current process could be a nightmare if we do a blank ownership when a new salesperson is added.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

@Erin St. John - Did you check ALL the relationships between the entities? Multiple relationships can be set up between entities. There may be another relationship with the cascading enabled.

Also, are there any plug-ins or workflows that would cause this behavior?

I agree, it must be different relationship that you are looking at.
