Detect View from Grid Selection

    Hello. I have a question to ask about views. We are working with the following instance details:
    Typically when we select the "Name" field from a view, we get redirected to the record we selected. Could one use the Javascript Client API to access the view in which the record was selected? There are a lot of APIs to choose from and I am having a hard time deciding if this can be done. Also I need this for a bulk edit form... if possible.

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
