Account Client Profile for Executive

Hello All - we are looking to build a process that generates a client profile document that can be provided to our executives as a one-pager when they may be meeting with customers.  We have utilized the word template but it is cumbersome and does not provide all functionality we need. For example, brings in all records under a certain entity as opposed to a roll-up. Has anyone built something similar and have best practices? Or, does anyone use 3rd party add-ons that are useful?

That sounds similar to a recent scenario where a major sports league decided to use our DocumentsCorePack solution to generate Player Profiles.

They wanted to be able to quickly and easily generate player profiles with a player's picture, player summary, current team info and game statistics - all of which were stored in Dynamics 365.  Our solution makes it easy to pull in data from complex relationships in Dynamics 365 and easily handles one-to-one, one-to-many and many-to-many relationships with our Word based Template Designer.  If interested in learning more, I would be glad to talk further and/or provide a quick solution overview in my live environment.

    Hi David

Many of our customers are using Xpertdoc Smart Flows (formerly XperiDo) to address that challenge. It will allow you to create a great-looking one-page customer profile with key figures, charts, any way you want want to present them. You can perfectly drill down into multiple levels of 1:N and N:1 relationships and even bring in data from other systems besides Dynamics 365. Template design is very user-friendly via a Template Builder add-in for Microsoft Word and you can set up a flow to automate the process, so that every time an executive schedules a meeting with the customer he/she will receive the one-pager in his/her mailbox.

You might consider using SSRS and build them a custom report.  I've written several reports using that tool where I've combined data from 3 or 4 different entities into one page reports.  They're complex to build, but you have really excellent control over the output.
