I'm wondering if anyone has gone this route and is using this instead of a data vendor like Insights, ZoomInfo, D&B etc.
I tried searching for recent posts but can only find stuff from last year. Just curious if you are utilizing it what your feedback is.

    Hi Heather,
LinkedIn Sales Navigator won't actually do the same thing that these products do.  The vendors you listed will all enhance and update your CRM data with other information (updating addresses and phone numbers, for example).  The integration with Sales Navigator (SN) will ONLY sync back to Dynamics the data that your users create in SN like InMails or other activities - it will not sync contact data from LinkedIn members.  Essentially, this comes down to data ownership.  LinkedIn member data (i.e. the data I have entered on my profile) is actually considered to be owned by the member (i.e. me) and therefore they cannot and will not let you sync that data down to your own system.

The other vendors mentioned actually gather up that data and so they "own" it - and they will sync it into your system for you.  Hope that helps!

Hi Heather: I have completed installation of LISN for two CRM instances. The pulg-in and CRM write back are very straight forward. There is one activity that does not record back for both my instances - Point Drive views and conversations. Other than this one small thing, the integration works well.
I have implemented the D&B pixel for two of our Adobe websites, and the experience might be better, for some of our visitors. I dont see a jump in my incoming leads as a direct result of the implementation. Hope this helps. Thanks, Sheetal.

We're also currently testing Sales Navigator. While it doesn't sync LinkedIn Data you can see the related LinkedIn profile on the respective contact/account/opportunity. So you can use the data when looking at individual records but you cannot use it for reporting/filtering/etc.

I think out trial is running a few more weeks. I'm still curious to see whether the team decides to stick with it or not. In the end i think it can help for lead generation if you use the tool efficiently. I don't think it's worth it if you just want to see a contact's LinkedIn profile in the CRM.

This was on my to-do list so I am following this discussion. Would love to hear everyone's outcomes and decisions whether to go with it or not.

I did get a presentation of the Linkedin Navigator at our last CRMUG event. Was very disappointed that you could not pull data directly into your CRM,

We implemented a few seats of LISN and did not find it a great source of new prospects.
We dropped it and kept on seat because of its ability to enable a user to manually backfill data from LinkedIn.
The hit rate with our leads is actually quite high, so it would be great if it was actually able to automatically write data from LinkedIn to the record.

Currently looking at the Clearbit Enrichment product to see if it can improve our data. 1000 queries per month = $99.

Our research here has shown us that data enrichment is a somewhat murky business where you should veer towards the bigger established players.
