Tracking emails from Outlook to CRM

    ​We track a lot of emails from Outlook to CRM and if the contact is not in CRM, this notice always pops up.  Many times we are tracking to an opportunity or another entity and don't need to add the contact.  Does anyone know of a way to turn off this warning? Thanks for your help! Laura

    You can't disable it, unfortunately.  There was a great 8 part series on the Outlook App a while ago on the Microsoft PFE blog site 'CRM In the Field' that went into a lot of detail about the App.

    Here is a snippet from part 4:

    When I open the App for Outlook, I see the message, "Create contacts first to avoid duplicates." Can I disable this?
    No. This is not configurable and will appear when the sender of the email is unknown (does not resolve to a Dynamics record)

    Hey Todd! Hope you are doing well!  Thank you for the link, I will definitely take a look at it.  I hate that it suggests this for users who do not even have rights to create contacts.

    @Todd Mercer what a great resource! Thanks for the link.​

    @Laura Mortick I have a related item in the Ideas Portal (Outlook App allow "resolve to existing" for unmatched email addresses). But I like your thought about preventing that pop-up for users who don't even have "create" permissions for Contacts. Seems obvious!

    Didn't see your feature in the Ideas Portal yet so I added it. Go vote here for 'Prevent/customize "create contact" message in Outlook App'.
