D365 in Outlook client hangs at going offline - #HELP!!!

  • 1.  D365 in Outlook client hangs at going offline - #HELP!!!

    ​we have 4 end users when they take D365 in the outlook client offline, it synchronizes down data then just hangs at the going offline part and never completes, nor does it give any errors, therefore the system won't go offline.  We have been unable to fix this and looking to see if anyone else has had this and fixed it.

    the following has been tried:
    uninstalled/reinstalled office and D365
    applied all updates and fixes
    reset IE settings - deleted cache, etc
    checked for malware/viruses
    ran windows cleanup on tempfiles
    tried other internet providers and locations for the isp connection
    ran the crm diagnostic tool
    removed and reconfigured the CRM account

    In the error log file - it references these errors which I have searched on vigorously but failed to get a fix 

    Addin is now disabled, ErrorCode: -2147220970

    Error: Addin is now disabled Error Number: 0x80040216

    Have you white listed the offline folders/processes in your anti-virus/anti-malware? What is the add-in that it "disabled"?

    ​we have verified firewall settings, finally gave up and reached out to Microsoft and had no success with them either replacing the computer

    If this happens again I would suggest to use fiddler to look at the network packets.
