Missing Letter Activity

    I am sure this must be something obvious but a new environment I am working on does not seem to show the Letter activity from Contact but it shows in the Activities. Any suggestions?

    Hi John,

    Some possible reasons for what you're experiencing:

    1. Is the letter regarded to the record you're looking at filters for? I think that it may only show record types that are available for the record.

    2. Are you CRM On-Premise? I believe there was some issue with certain activity types displaying that has been fixed online, but may still exist on premise (or you may need to apply an update). If memory serves, it was originally limited to only the most used types (tasks, calls, appointments, emails). I know we had at least one client that wanted to see Campaign Responses, but it was unavailable.

    3. Have you configured the form to show letters as an available activity type? You can do this by opening the form editor, double-clicking the timeline, clicking the Activities tab, and checking which types of activities are set to show up.

    Letter activity can't be enabled for Unified client.
