CRM 2011 installation Error (GrantAspNetServiceAccountAccessAction failed)

  • 1.  CRM 2011 installation Error (GrantAspNetServiceAccountAccessAction failed)

    Posted 24 days ago

    Hello all,

can anyone help us with this error?

We are desperately trying to install a CRM2011 Full Server on a MS 2012 R2 Server (also tried 2012 Standard without R2 before) via SHS and config.xml and we get this error.

The installing User has Access to the Groups and the old, on 2008 R2, installation was also done with this User. For the new installation we are using clean new groups.

We had an "Account Unknwon" in the OU Groups and deleted it.

    But the error still appears:

    HI,

Are you using new Service accounts for the new install? If so are they all part of the local server Performace Lof Users group?

    Hi,

we are using the old Service Account (which at the Moment are running fine for the Testsystem on 2008R2 Server), but created new Groups.
Trying to do a new installation on Server 2012.
We have added the Async- and Service-Account to the Performance Log Group (this Error appeared earlier).
Do the Sandbox and Deployment User also be in there ?

    greetings
    Maik

I have them all as part of the Performance log group. I does not hurt to try.

CRM 2011 is supported with UR13 only with Windows Server 2012.

Windows Server 2012 Datacenter or Standard CRM
    Update Rollup 13
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3005163/compatibility-with-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011

When I typically see this error it has been related to the OS version not being compatible.

As i said, we tried this installation (via SHS and config file) on a 2012 Standard Server and ran into the same error.

     <Patch update="true">C:\install\2_CRM 2011 Basic Server\SHS\Server_KB2434455_amd64_1033.msp</Patch>

I added now all Users (async, sandbox, deployment, service) to Performance Log, but that didn't help :(

We seem to have been relating this due to "Account unknown" being present on CRM OU but we couldn't yet understand why.
If they are removed, normally this error is avoided.
