Exporting Lead Info

  • 1.  Exporting Lead Info

    Posted 23 days ago
I want to be able to export a specific Lead and all information and Notes related to the Lead, so that I can supply that information to one of our Distributors. How do I do that?
Just emailing a link will not work since the person getting the Lead does not work for our company.
    Thanks - Greg

    Hello Greg,
I would create a word template containing all the fields I want to provide to the external person and then send it by email. I used this functionality for our Sales reps to send their visit reports to some other people outside the system

See here below how to use word templates:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/admin/using-word-templates-dynamics-365

    Hope this helps

    Hi Greg,

I agree with Jordi, Word Templates are an option and the first thing that came to mind for me. Do you have a preference on format? Below are some other options to consider:

    1.  The most simple option would be pull an advanced find query on notes, regarding (account) and then account name "equals" or "begins with" whichever account you want to pull notes for. This will give a list of those notes and you can export them to excel.

    2. If you're looking for an excel format then you could also look at using excel templates: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/analyze-your-data-with-excel-templates.
    3. It's an old school option but you could use a Report Wizard report and that gives a lot of different format options (excel, PowerPoint, PDF, word, etc). There is a native report that shows recent notes for an account. Open the account record, select the ellipses Run Report > Account Overview. You could consider building a new custom report as well.

    Hope this helps!
