    Hi All --

We're looking for some information on solutions for push notifications. Does anyone have some tried and true solutions? I found "365 Notify" in the App Store - has anyone tried it?

    Hi Libby,

There are various methods to configure push notifications in D365. It depends on customer's business process requirement –emails can be triggered on certain actions, changes, approvals.

Dynamics 365 allows to send emails via workflows. We use workflows to send email notifications for various functionalities such as:

    • Account Assignment – notifies users on account is assignment
    • Quote Approval Process – notifies managers for proposed quote price as part of Business Process Flow, if approval is needed
    • Case Management Process – notifies Customer Service Representative on case assignment
    • Opportunity – notifies senior executives on winning or losing a large opportunity

Depending again on business requirements and specific use cases for the requirements, you might also consider using Microsoft Flow to send Flow notifications. We have implemented Microsoft flow for notifying user of record created through PowerApps

'Notify 365' is also a very convenient option. We have not used it for any customer, but we have tried it on trial environment. It is easy to configure but keep in mind it also required basic knowledge of workflows. You can refer below mentioned links to find more details on 'Notify 365'

    Hi Libby-

There are also tools out there that can schedule emails to be sent based on conditions that are like summary or digest emails (like the D365 discussion group emails that get sent every day if you subscribe).

I've used Workflow Elements ( to basically create alert and summary emails to users and external recipients.

Also used a recurring workflow scheduler from Lucas Alexander ( to schedule workflows to fire on a schedule.
