  • 1.  Changing the default value on the From field on email Form

    Hi All,

    Is it possible to change the default value of the From field when creating a new email activity.  Currently need to send emails from a generic [email protected] email but every time they create the activity they have to remove their own name in the From...and replace it with the generic [email protected].

    I know the From field is a particular type of lookup (Partylist) so I was trying a simple Business Rule to set the value, but I can interact with the From field in the conditions of the rule.  

    Any guidance appreciated!

    I think you could try 2 things:
    1. Synchronous workflow which changes from field value on create of an email
    2. JavaScript function using setTimeout with a small delay and setting the field

    I think it's possible using javascript clear the from field on the form load event and in the formtype of populate with [email protected]. if it doesnot work set a delay of 3000 mil sec. Workflow is another good option too
