    Hello Everyone!

Have a couple of questions regarding the D365 App for Outlook -

After a contact has been created, it doesn't appear that you can change and/or modify/edit the phone # field -
So even though it says "Select to enter data" it appears you can't (unless selecting the Account to view, drill down to contact(s) and then editing it there).

Also, when utilizing the Add + feature does it only capture first/last name and e-mail address of the soon to be contact?  Or is there some other way to capture Title, address, if the inbound e-mail has information in a signature area?  Yes, I know you can copy/paste, just looking for another option.

    OK, that's it.

Thanks in advance and stay safe, well, and healthy!!

    Joe

Hey @Joe Sznaza - good to see you!

I'm not sure if this is the issue or not: When you first track an email using the App, the record shows up in read-only format. Click the record name (such as the name of the Account or Contact) to open it in editable format (still in the side-pane).

And you are correct that all it grabs is the first/last name and email address. There is no out-of-the-box way to capture other signature line info. There are some third party solutions, and you can do bits of this with a Power Automate (for example, you could parse the website URL out of the email address).

    Take care!

    Good Morning @Geoff Ables!

Thanks for the info.  Using the "Click" on name after it's been created and set does allow the edit feature.  Not too intuitive...  Also, I thought as much with just the 3 fields being captured too.  Never hurts to ask!

Hope you are well and take care!

Couldn't agree more! Overall I like the Outlook App, but there are some parts of it that are awkward.
