Timeline control in UI on an iPhone

I am trying to solve a small problem that would have a big impact.  In Unified Interface, I have the timeline in the first tab on my accounts form.  That tab is 3 columns and the timeline is in the right side.  Everything is fine and dandy in a web browser or a tablet, but when it is shrunk d own to an iPhone screen, the timeline appears on a separate tab.  Of course, depending on the user phone screen size, they might see the timeline tab, or it might be under the Related navigation link.

Does anyone know of a way to control where the timeline tab is located when the app is shrunk down to a phone screen?  I tries moving the timeline to the first column of the first tab, but it still displays the names of some of the other tabs before the timeline.

    Thanks!

I hope to find a better way in the future, but for now, the workaround I implemented is to put the timeline by itself on the second tab in the form and I moved a reference panel I already had on the form to the right column on the first tab and added a sub grid of activities (labeled as "History") to the first position in the reference panel.

This way, when a user opens an account record in a web browser, the see the history prominently and they can add activities to it very similar to the timeline - and then they can also click on the Timeline tab.  When a user views an account record in the iPhone app, if they see the timeline tab prominently at the top of the form as it won't get buried under the "Related" navigation since it always seems to show at least 2 tabs plus Related.

We had the same issue and created a MS support ticket. MS support followed up with the PG and confirmed this is the expected behavior. In addition, there is currently no way to configure the behavior without modifying the form. We did express our feedback to MS by asking them to make the timeline "tab" UI more consistent across all platforms since the "tab" doesn't appear on tablet or web.

I'm not sure if you saw this in the Wave 2 release notes but perhaps this may be a mute issue if users transitions to this new app: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365-release-plan/2020wave2/sales/dynamics365-sales/easily-complete-common-tasks-go
