    Hello all,

I am having some issues with the ribbon workbench; I am editing the ribbon on an entity and when I try to publish it is saying that there are 2 buttons with the same ID and that I need to give one a unique ID. I have gone through every button and none of them share the same ID's. I have also tried to change the ID on the button but it continues to give the same error.

I also opened the developer tools and searched to see if there was one anywhere but no luck.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

    Welcome to CRM :)

Does it work if you try again just redo it all?

Other option is take the solution export it then re import it, and see if CRM importer will give you more details

@Joshua Douglas Did you have a button with the same ID before that got deleted? I've seen "ghosts" in my system before. For example if I created an option set field new_field but then decided I wanted to use a lookup for that feature instead - deleting the option set and creating a lookup identically called new_field would cause a conflict like what you've described. Deleting an element through the solution tool doesn't fully remove that element from the underlying solution xml if you are using unmanaged solutions. You might need to extract the full solution xml and manually delete the old section from the code before proceeding if you're attached to using exactly that name.

The other thing to investigate - are you able to create other buttons with RibbonWorkbench right now? That would help you rule out whether the problem is with this specific element, or whether RibbonWorkbench itself is misbehaving.
