Generating and Printing Report Document

  • 1.  Generating and Printing Report Document

    Posted Jul 03, 2020 11:51 AM
    HI,

We use D365 CRM Online and serve citizens of our country. When they register with us, we print a page, like a summary of data they have provided, and let them sign it. Another co-worker was working on that report document using CRM Reports I believe, but has been a pain to deal with modifications and additions when needed to make any. We were looking into better ways of generating such a document, and I have been using the Word Document Templates and it seems that it would do the job. However, one thing that I would like is to have the ability to generate the document and print it straight away, instead of having it download on the user's computer since they go through a fair bit of users each day. Is there a way or workaround to immediately print the document?

As a side note, we were thinking of experimenting with Power BI,I know this may not be the place for it, I apologize, but if anyone has the experience and think we could get the functionality using it, would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi Raphael,

A lot of CRM users are going through what you described above. Hence, there are a few document generation companies out there, that make life dealing with CRM reports much easier. While I am not sure, if you can solve your issue with the standard CRM functionality and word templates, I know that dox42 could help you with that: print documents right away, instead of downloading them on each individual computer. We're hosting a webinar tomorrow with the CRMUG, if you'd like to see some more, feel free to register here: https://events.bizzabo.com/225711

    Best regards

We use Document Core Pack from MSCRM Addons and it works well for this.  Check out their site...
