    Hi,
We're on D365 CE Online v9x.  We have a custom entity called Third Party Data Catalogue.  On the form we have a sub-grid called Linked Work Items where users can link one or more Third Party Data Catalogue records by clicking on the + button.  When record A is added to the sub-grid of record B, we'd like record B to show in the sub-grid on record A.  Similarly if we deleted the link between the records, it would apply to the sub-grid on both records.  Is this possible?

The N:N relationship looks like so...

The Linked Work Items sub-grid properties are as follows...

On our Account form we have a Connections sub-grid which does what we want to do although its a bit clumsy. When you click on the table icon in the top right it takes you an Associated View screen, you then click on the Connect button which pops up another window where you select the account record and then click Save & Close.  We'd also prefer to use the existing Linked Work Items sub-grid functionality if possible.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hey Mark,

With an oob N:N relationship I do not believe this is possible. You may be able to develop a plugin that could create the opposite association. Creating an intersect entity between the two and showing that as a subgrid on both entities is probably the route I would potentially take.

Hi @Doug Apicella, thanks for the advice.  I'll speak to our developer to see if this is something they can develop for us.  If you have any other thoughts/options, feel free to let me know.  Cheers.

    Hey Mark,

I had the same scenario and using OOB N:N relationship worked for me. Once you create an N:N relationship between 2 entities. In the forms, you need to create subgrids which reference to the other entity and vice versa.
    Hope this helps you.
