    Hello All,

Quick question, I know in the Release Wave 2 we are supposed to have the ability to pin the related documents tab to the main form instead of going through the "Related" option... But i cannot for anything figure it out. From other searching some say it should be there by default in the powerapps new form editor but i am having no luck.

I should also mention it is a custom main form, which may or may not be the issue.

Anyone had any luck actually pinning the documents tab?

Hi @Erik Seitz, we haven't moved over to the Unified Interface yet but have enabled it and done some initial testing.  I noticed the new Files tab appeared on some forms in the classic interface when we deployed the wave 2 release.

The Files tab only appeared on Main forms for Account, Contact, Lead and Opportunity.  I've tried to recreate the Files tab in the classic interface but it appears to be locked down.  Below are the Sub Grid properties for the Files tab on the Account Main form.  When I try to set the Data Source, the only entity I can see that is close to what I want is Document Locations but this isn't useful.  I can't see how to do it in the new Power Apps designer.

We would definitely find the Files tab useful for custom entities so we'll have to go via the Related tab when we move to the UI.  Others may be able to advise on this but I'd suggest raising a support call with Microsoft but I suspect they'll say its locked down for the time being.

    Hi @Mark Aston/ @Erik Seitz,
I was also wondering how to add document locations on a custom entity, I didn't find any content on google. So, I have tried to add a related document tab from power apps form designer and able to find the solution. you could also try it.
*Power apps form designer can be open from the app designer from your model-driven app.

Hi @Sumit Choudhary, at the bottom of this article it says that the "Files" feature is currently only available for Contact, Opportunity, Lead and Account but that hopefully it will be available for custom entities in the future.

What you could try is go into the entity settings in the Power Apps maker as per below...

Under Collaboration, tick the box to Enable SharePoint document management.

Then go to Settings > Document Management > Document Management Settings and tick the entity.

Hope this helps.  Let me know how you get on.

    Hello @Mark Aston,
    Thank you.
The File feature is also available for custom entities too. we can add it for custom entities from power apps form designer by adding related document subgrid

Thanks for the update @Sumit Choudhary.  Did you first have to follow the steps I supplied in my previous message?

    Hi Erik,

To answer your original question, I think the capability you are referring to is the fact that in UCI if you navigate to a related element (through the related tab) if will automatically pin that element as frequently used provided you have enough room on the screen. i.e. it remembers. This only happens on a per-user basis though, so there's no way to enforce it for all users.

The other way is to edit the form XML directly.  You'll need to download the solution and edit the XML.  Here's how.
