Skip empty stages when moving my case forward to the next stage

    Hi all,

In our case management system, we want to skip empty stages when moving my case forward to the next stage. A case record is created along with a business proccess flow (BPF). Each BPF has stages. A stage can have tasks to be complete or canceled. A stage can be empty. How we can do this? We build a plugin to resolve this issue but the active stage is not set to active. Anyone have a solution design. I will appreciate.
Suppose that we have stages S1 -> S2 -> S3. S2 does not have task; S3 has tasks; I'm in S1 and click Next Stage button; I should go directly to S3

    Thanks,

    Hi Arsene,

I believe you can use workflow on this by listening to the business process flow attached to the case entity.

When you create a workflow, set the business process flow as the primary entity and listen to active stage/status change of it, then you can update and set the stage that you want.

Hope this gives you an idea.

@Arsene Sabas - You may consider using Branching Logic in the BPFs. For example, you can specify if certain values are in certain fields in S1, then show/hide subsequent stages.
