Hi
@Jim CorriveauI guess the decision needs to be based on your organisation's particular rules and what emails come in, as well as what your other settings are such as allowing automatic creation of Contacts.
I have known organisations that have set the default to track all emails but then allowed users to use their work email for personal things. This combined with the fact that some users inadvertently selected to allow auto creation of Contacts meant we had records that shouldn't be on the system.
The good thing is that you can mass update the settings using XRM Toolbox, meaning that, if you notice mis-tracked emails you can either update all user settings in this regard or simply update a particular user.
The other thing that you might find useful is the ability to view untracked emails that are somehow related to a Contact (and I presume other) records within the Timeline. I haven't tried that as of yet, but it is my understanding that if a user receives an email from a client it will show, to them only, my guess is that this may be useful if you have individual contacts/cases assigned to particular workers.
Hope that helps
Regards
Matt

Subject: Dynamics 365 App for Outlook and Users Personal Email Sync Options
Good day,
Is anyone using the dynamics 365 app for Outlook and what is the Users personal "Track" option set to for the email sync/tacking to work? Is "All Email Messages" required?
Thank you,

Subject: Dynamics 365 App for Outlook and Users Personal Email Sync Options
Hello,
I thought i read somewhere, maybe on a thread here, that with the most recent updates to D365 CE and the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook a User would be required to have their "Select the email messages to track in Microsoft Dynamics 365" set to "All Email Messages" in order to set regarding a message from a User inbox to a CRM record and have subsequent forwards/replies of that email and have Server Side Sync put that message into CRM and set regarding the same CRM record.
Does anyone know if the tracking in personal options needs to be "All Email Messages"? If not, is there any place where MS states a minimum or recommended setting?
Thank you for your help,
