Automatically adding text to description box

    Hi All, Hopefully someone can help with this!

    I have a Case form and a requirement is to put a Case Category on each case (no problem there) but if the inputter selects a certain Case Category I want the Free Text Description to be populated with some standard text.

    I have setup an on demand process that triggers when the Record Fields Change.

    Then it checks if the Case Category equals a certain Value and if True add text to the Description box.

    I can't get it to Update the description box - Is it even possible?

    this sounds like it should work - have you checked the process session after testing to see where it goes wrong?  Is the process succeeding and just not giving the desired result or is it failing?

    When you said "add text to the description box", did you mean you used Update step?

    Can you share a screenshot?

    Based on your description, I feel like it can be done through Business Rules.

    Yes that worked perfect...Do you know if it is possible in the Value field to get 3 lines of text to appear instead of a single line of text.  Such as

    Name:
    Location:
    Reference:

    i.e. can each line separated by a [CR]. ?

    Hi Martin,

    You can play around Multiple LInes of Text type. I believe you can make that work with a custom JavaScript or workflow. If you choose to use a workflow, you will see the changes after saving the record. Business Rules are like JavaScript so validation happens on the client-side.
