    Hello Giovanni,

The full copy is good to have in order to do all testing with new developments like as we sere in the production instance.
Though we should consider any GDPR issues with the full copy, since if yo are located in the EU, no real data are permitted in non-production instances.

On TST and DEV environments no real data should exist, or at least no contact data of any kind.
In case of audit, you will be asked for deleting any contact and/or name details.

    Following questions

    1)     And what about emails in contacts/accounts ?

    2)     Which are the sensitive data ? Is a possible solution change the sensitive data using other data (example xyz@zxy.nl) ?

    3)     are there some best practices to follow?

Emails should not be copied, though it depends on how strict your GDPR model is.
You can follow up with GDPR compliance to check as type of sensitive data.
Also, best practices are different between industries. You need to identify your company type and proceed with thorough check regarding GDPR industry best practices.

Main benefit of Product copy to Test and Dev is for easy testing and easy for troubleshooting production issues. As you have same data from production, you can easily reproduce issues in TEST & Dev instances.
For Emails or any other sensitive data, once production copy is moved to Test & Dev you can mask this information using scrible or any other integration tools.  For example, replace all emails to contoco.com emails etc.

If you have different solution / account key for click dimension, then click dimension data will not work. Web content, forms, Surveys, landing pages mostly wont work.

    Giovanni

SAP & Salesforce have these features available to their developers. The most fundamental benefit is that they can test and validate their code against real world data instead of "made up" data. A lot of companies have the requirement that all their code be tested against the "current state of the business". This especially in situations where a data change is required which the only "undo" is a full db restore. You don't really want to be in a situation where you find a bug in your code while running it in production. According to Delphix, NASA applies this practice.

    https://www.delphix.com/blog/application-development/delphix-automic-rewriting-rules-of-sap-refresh

I am pretty sure that since SAP is a German company, they are in compliance with any EU regulations with regard to this subject.

    Cheers!
